Who we are
Rail & Landing collects the personal information described on this page and is responsible for it. In this policy, "we" means Rail & Landing.

What we collect
- Your contact details and the address of the work.
- Photos of the work area and the measurements we take.
- Only those details about how the home is used that you choose to give us for the job, for example which side a rail should be on. Please do not send us diagnoses or medical details.
- If someone refers you, such as a therapist or care agency, the details they send with your agreement.
Why we collect it
To quote, install, warrant and invoice the work, and to answer your questions. We do not send marketing emails.
Recommendations from therapists and care agencies
If a therapist or care agency sends us a written recommendation with your agreement, we use it only to plan, quote, install and warrant the work it was sent for. We never use it for marketing, and we do not share it with anyone else unless you agree. We do not accept clinical reports.
Who sees your information
- Our office and the owner see the full record.
- Installers get a work order that says what to install and where, not why.
- Some of the people who answer our calls and install our work are provided to us by a service provider. They may use your information only for our jobs.
- We do not sell your information.
Where we keep it and for how long
- Requests sent through this website, with their photos, are stored with Cloudflare, our website host, and sent to our office email, which Google Workspace hosts. Cloudflare and Google may store it on servers outside Canada, such as in the United States, where the laws of that country apply.
- Requests that do not lead to a job are deleted after 24 months.
- Details about how the home is used, and therapists' recommendations, are deleted 2 years after the warranty on the work ends.
- Invoices and payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Website tools and tracking
This website does not use analytics tools, advertising pixels or advertising cookies. We do not send what you type in a form to any advertising platform.
If you reach our website from a link that carries campaign details, such as the name of an ad, the website keeps those details in your own browser for 30 days and adds them to your request if you send one. The site works without it.
Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore sends your IP address to Google when a page opens.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, by emailing hello@railandlanding.ca or calling 437-981-2080. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to finish a quote or job that depends on it, and we keep invoices as the law requires.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
If something goes wrong
If personal information we hold is lost or seen by someone who should not have it, we tell the people affected, and we report it to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada where the law requires.
