Grab bars and bathroom safety

We install stainless grab bars beside the toilet, in the tub and in the shower. The first bar is $349. Each extra bar on the same visit is $110. HST is added where it applies.

We fix each bar into a stud, solid blocking or a hollow-wall anchor rated for the load, and we test it with a pull gauge before we leave.

Our minimum job is $349. Any combination of items counts toward it, so a grab bar can go on the same visit as a handrail or a railing.

Wall types

We work on tile over cement board, tile over drywall, plaster and drywall. On fibreglass and acrylic surrounds we use anchors made for those walls, which is why those bars cost a little more. If we find no stud or blocking where you want a bar, we tell you the options and the price before we drill.

Where the bars go

You decide where each bar goes. We mark the positions with you before we drill. If an occupational therapist has written a recommendation for you, we install to it. We do not give medical or therapy advice. If you would like advice about your own needs, you can book a private occupational therapist directly.
